Three infrared categories

Some hairdryers use infrared to help dry water. Some use infrared as a distance sensor. Lucine uses 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared as a separate scalp-care mode. See the comparison.

660 nm + 850 nm

The five-pod front combines 660 nm visible red light with 850 nm near-infrared light. Both switch on together. The visible red glow confirms the 660 nm channel; the 850 nm channel is mostly invisible.

IR control

The IR button controls the light system separately from the temperature ring.
